Follow-up works – Sakami

Matamec has recently carried out follow-up works on its Sakami Lake Property. These works were carried out mainly on the large territory of the “JR” Sector, aiming essentially at two objectives. First, to explain visually, if possible, a few of the numerous Mag/IP anomalies previously disclosed by geophysical survey. Secondly, to reexamine the gold showings discovered last year during a basic prospecting campaign. Small pits have been excavated, manually, where the overburden was thin enough to permit reaching the bedrock, at precise spots corresponding to the centers of the presumed traces of the anomalies. In all the cases where the bedrock has thus been reached, a mineralized and highly altered zone have been observed, thus explaining the anomalies. On the line 14E, 100 meters east of the hole Ex-43 drilled over the E anomaly (2.03 buying antibiotics online g/t Au over 6.0 m), a trench, dug on the eastern extension of the latter, has confirmed the continuity of the mineralized structure with the following results: 1.93 g/t Au, 3.07 g/t Au, 36.20 g/t Au (visible gold), 2.03 g/t Au. About 1.3 kilometers more to the west, a trench has confirmed the presence of a new structure, oriented north-south, at right angle with the east-west anomalies system. This new N-S structure had been identified last fall and had returned the following values: 9.60 g/t Au, 4.53, 8.60 and 6.83 g/t Au. The recent sampling carried out on similar rusty showings about 20.0 meters south on the extension of the latter values have returned the following results: 27.70 g/t Au (visible gold), 28.75 g/t Au, 3.53 g/t Au, 0.53 g/t Au, 18.90 g/t Au, 5.40 g/t Au and 8.80 g/t Au. Following these favorable results, more important stripping and channel sampling works are required and will be carried out during the coming weeks. All the assays were analysed at the Bourlamaque Assay Laboratory of Val-d’Or. Mr. Jean-Raymond Lavallée, qualified person, supervised the works on the property and Mr. Jean Lavallée, eng. Geologist examined the samples.
