Start of the Exploration program for the summer of 2002

The summer exploration campaign will start on june 10 on the Sakami property and will be completed by late August. Three sectors of the property will be covered. NORTH SECTOR This part of the property, unexplored so far, is underlain in its entirety by the deformation corridor (Sakami Break) between the « La Grande » and « Opinaca » geological subprovinces of the Canadian Precambrian Shield. The following work will be carried out to discover new gold anomalies and will cover an area of approximately 35 km2 :

• Gelogical surveying,
• Mapping and prospection ;

« J.R. » SECTOR Follow up to the winter geophysical and drilling programs. The summer program will cover an area of 10.2km2 :

• Geological surveying, mapping and prospection to investigate the major anomalies detected by the geophysical survey(see press release of May 29, 2002);
• Localise on surface the gold bearing iron formation identified in drill holes EX-42 and EX-43 (see press release of June 5, 2002) ;
• Surface trenching and sampling.

«ZONES 25 & 26 » SECTOR The following program will be carried out to better understand the geology and structure of this major gold find and better plan the upcoming fall drilling program:

• Standardization of drilling logs following a complete verification of all drill cores to date;
• Additional sampling of untested drill core sections;
• 1000 m. of additional drilling;
• Preparation of a structural model of the gold deposit;

A budget of 300 000,00$ has been allocated to complete this summer program. Results from the winter drilling program on Zone 25 will be released shortly.
